POTENTATE'S MESSAGE: As we approach the Holiday Season, let us not forget to give thanks to Almighty God for the success of our Temple this year, and pray that He will continue to Bless us as we move into the year 2000.
The Holiday Season brings out our Units and Clubs for many festive parades we have on schedule. I hope to see all of you participating in the name of Shrinedom.
As we near the end of '99 I would like to thank our Clubs and Units and all our Nobles and Ladies who have worked, giving of their time and talents to help make this year a success. I appreciate all your support in our fund raising programs, social activities and pilgrimages to SESA, SASA, and Imperial Convention in Cancun. We will forever have these fond memories with us.
I would like to thank our office staff, Loretta Ferguson, Cheryl Ferguson, and Walter McFarland for their invaluable assistance to me and our Temple.
Our Stated Meeting on December 2 is one of the most important of the year. It is our annual election of officers. Please assess your choice of candidates carefully and cast your vote for the good of our Temple.
Saturday, December 4, is our Temple Ceremonial in honor of Noble Ralph May. Noble Ralph has done a trememdous job this rear, as in past years, as Temple Provost/Parade Marshall and in arranging and coordinating the Temple Golf Tournament. It is a great pleasure to name our December class in his honor. Get your petitions in early and remind your candidates that his lady is invited to attend the Ladies' activities planned for them.
'99 will soon be history. Please join us for the New Year's Party here in our Mosque, Friday, December 31 for a great time in bringing in a new century with fun and joy for an even better year, 2000. the great tradition of "Black Eyed Peas and Cabbage" will be served on New Year's Day from 11 AM until 2 PM.
To the Lake Cumberland Shrine Club, my sincere appreciation and Thank You for your support not only to me but also to our Temple Transportation Fund. Your contributions have been greatly appreciated throughout the year.
Finally, my special appreciation to my Lady Joyce who has supported me and made many many sacrifices to help me keep my pledge to you of unconditional help and support when you elected me as your Oriental Guide five years ago. We have made many new friends and all of you have touched our lives in a special way. We will continue to support the Shrine in whatever way we can.
