Samuel M. Milwee, was born on March 31, 1959, the last of eleven children to Price and Vera Crider Milwee.
After graduation from Cawood High School, Sam began serving the public as an Apprentice Funeral Director at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home in Harlan, Kentucky. After several years, he felt the needs of the people moving his career in a new direction, and began working in the life insurance industry.
Due to poor economic conditions in Harlan County, Sam left home for Kingsport, Tennessee where he began a career in the newspaper industry. He began as public relations directory, working his way up to sales and promotion manager and circulation supervisor. During this time, he also founded a small company, radical truck accessories.
After eleven years with Kingsport Times News, Sam made yet another move. This time, not a career move, but a move led by his heart. He moved to London, Kentucky to marry Janice Sizemore. Continuing in the newspaper industry, he served as circulation manager at Corbin Times Tribune for several years, during which time, he decided to continue his education and obtain a degree in graphic arts.
In September of 2000, Sam left the Corbin Times Tribune to open a commercial printing and publishing company, Distinct Impressions. In early 2002, he expanded the business to include catering and event planning, offering a total business solution.
Sam is heavily involved in his community, serving as Vice-Chair on the Long Term Care Ombudsman Advisory Council, a member of the London-Laurel County Alzheimer's Association, the Lions Club, ASI promotion products resources, London-Laurel Chamber of Commerce and First Baptist Church, East Bernstadt.
Samuel M. Milwee was raised a Master Mason at C.D. Ward Lodge #961 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky and holds dual membership with McKee Lodge #144, London, Kentucky. He is a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Lexington Consistory. He served as Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Laurel County Shrine Club. Sam is a proud supporter of the forty-two clubs and units chartered through Oleika.
